INDIVIDUAL LASH EXTENSIONS 100

VOLUME LASHES 150

FAQ
During this process, one individual extension is skillfully applied to one natural lash with medical grade adhesive to create a longer and fuller lash line. Synthetic mink extensions are used during this process, real mink extensions are never used. Despite the animal cruelty reasons, they often cause allergic reactions and do not hold their curl. Eyelash extensions are completely customizable based on the natural health and look of your lashes. It's so important clients absolutely love their lashes! However, the health of your natural lashes is number one priority. Excellent care, precision, attention to detail and high standards ensure clients' health and amazing results. Extensions that are too long or thick for your natural lashes will never be applied. A consultation will always be performed to discuss the desired results and what is possible based on the natural state and look of your eyelashes.

PRIOR TO YOU APPOINTMENT
Please arrive without any cosmetics or products on or around the eye area. This includes but isn't limited to, concealer, serums, moisturizers, eyeliner, eyeshadow, mascara or foundation. It is best to avoid mascara use for a few days prior to your appointment to ensure there is no residue left over which will effect the retention of your extensions.
Cleanse your lashes and surrounding eye area thoroughly before your appointment. If you arrive to your appointment with mascara on or any residue on your lashes a $10 cleaning fee will be applied. This is so important, if your lashes aren't clean your retention will be greatly affected. Cleaning of your lashes will also cut into your full set or fill service time. Avoid any caffeine consumption. The use of caffeine often makes your eyes jittery. This not only makes the service more difficult to perform but is also usually uncomfortable for the client .
If you wear contacts, please arrive to your appointment wearing your glasses instead.

HOW LONG DO EYELASHE EXTENSIONS LAST
The look can be maintained indefinitely with refills. With the proper care and maintenance, touch-ups are needed once every 2 to 3 weeks to replace and maintain the look we have created for you.
Natural eyelashes grow in and fall out in cycles (every 60 to 90 days). When a natural lash matures and falls out, a new lash has already been growing and quickly replaces it without us noticing the turnover. This process is constant and at any given moment our many natural lashes are at different stages of maturity. Some are just growing in, while others are ready to shed. People typically shed between 1 and 5 natural lashes each day, depending on their individual growth cycles. On shorter natural lashes, this growing and shedding cycle is virtually unnoticeable. Aftercare and proper client education is the key to longevity.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO APPLY EYELASH EXTENSIONS
Depending on the number of lashes being applied, it generally takes between 90 to 150 minutes to apply a full set of eyelash extensions. Touch-ups can be done in 60 to 80 minutes.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I GET TOUCH UP’S?
We recommend getting touch-up applications every 2-3 weeks. Touch-ups average about 60 minutes.
OVERDUE LASHES
I can guarantee my work for 2 wks. Fills past 3wks that are care, please book full set

I will make any repairs or touch ups w/in 24 hrs of any service

FILL FROM ANOTHER SALON
A fill from another salon is always scheduled out as a full set and price depends on the application of your current extensions. I will not fill work that is improperly applied. If this is the case, all options will be discussed. A removal and a new full set application is usually required. If your natural lashes are too damaged for the application of a new set, there are products and things that can be done to restore your lash health!
It is so important to properly follow any pre and post instructions to ensure best results.

AFTERCARE
Avoid getting your beautiful new eyelash extensions wet for 24 hours. After this time, you may swim, workout and clean them as often as needed.
• Avoid excessive heat or steam.
• Thoroughly cleanse your lashes daily.
• Brush your lashes every day. A brush will be given to use after the service. If you ever need another one, just ask!
• Avoid the use of any products containing glycol, oil or carbonates. The use of mascara that isn't specifically formulated for eyelash extensions may not be used. The ingredients in mascaras break down the adhesive and are usually difficult to clean off your extensions.
• Do not try to remove your own extensions. Schedule a removal with me to ensure this is properly done and no damage is caused.

WHAT EXACTLY IS WAXING?
Waxing is a form of hair removal that removes the entire hair from the hair follicle. Warm wax is applied to the skin and adheres to the hair. When removed, the hair is pulled from the root.

DOES WAXING HURT?
Everyone’s pain tolerance is different, but you can expect a short, stinging sensation after the strip is pulled. If you are worried about being sensitive, taking an ibuprofen or aspirin about 30 minutes before your appointment should minimize your discomfort (consult with me before taking medications). Continuous waxing causes finer and less hair therefore waxing becomes less painful.

WHAT KIND OF WAX DO YOU USE?
I use 2 different types of wax. For the face and more sensitive areas of the body, I use a hard wax that shrink wraps and hardens around the hair and lifts from the skin creating a less painful removal. We use a more traditional soft wax for larger body areas such as legs, arms, chest, and back and it is removed by using a cloth strip.

HOW LONG CAN I EXPECT MY WAXING TO LAST?
If you’ve allowed your hair to grow out to the proper length prior to waxing, you can expect to be hair-free for a minimum of 1-2 weeks following your appointment.

IS THERE AN AGE LIMIT FOR GETTING WAXED?
Waxing is for everyone—guy or gal, young or old! Speaking of young, if you’re under 18, please bring a parent or guardian on your first visit as we need their consent. Better yet, have them book an appointment, too!

CAN I BE WAXED IF I’M TAKING RETIN A, RENOVA, OR ACCUTANE?
These medications increase the rate at which your skin exfoliates so waxing could potentially remove skin as well as hair. Please let me know immediately if you are on any medications. Also be aware that chemical peels, laser, and micro-dermabrasion can also affect skin integrity.

OTHER MEDICATIONS TO BE AWARE OF?
There are many medications that affect skin and skin integrity (glycolic acid, lactic acid, benzyl peroxide, salicylic acid, alpha hydroxyl acid, vitamin A, prescribed exfoliating scrubs, antibiotics, hormonal medications, radiation and/or chemotherapy drugs). Please consult with your physician in regards to any medications and how it may affect your waxing experience. Some brand names to be aware of: Adapalene, Avita, Tazorac Avage, Proactiv(e), Differin, Strivectin.

WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BIKINI & BRAZILIAN?
Bikini – hair will be removed that extends outside of the panty line or crease of thigh.
Brazilian Bikini – all hair removed including backside (some prefer leaving a small patch in front).

PRE-WAXING

HOW DO I PREPARE FOR MY WAXING SERVICE?
I recommend that you exfoliate the area several days prior to your appointment. Thoroughly clean the area keeping the skin moist, but not greasy from heavy lotions or oils.

HOW LONG DOES MY HAIR HAVE TO BE?
Hair needs to be at least ¼” to ½” for effective waxing. For most people this means waiting 2-4 weeks (minimum of 2 weeks) from the last time you shaved. The longer you wait, the better the results.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO GET A BIKINI WAX?
Whatever makes you comfortable, keeping in mind that the “skimpier” the underwear the better I can what I’m doing. Also, we encourage you to leave your new panties at home in case we get any wax on them. We also provide complimentary disposable underwear for your use.

CAN I TAN BEFORE A WAX?
We recommend that you should avoid sun exposure for 48 hours prior to and after your wax.

POST WAXING

HOW DO I PREVENT INGROWN HAIRS?
Ingrown hairs are thin hairs that cannot push through the skin resulting in inflammation. The best way to prevent is to gently exfoliate 2-3 times a week. We have a variety of products available including body scrubs, bath poufs, and Tend Skin to help minimize this condition.

WHAT SHOULD I DO FOR AFTERCARE?
Your skin may be sensitive following your wax. Any red bumps or irritation should subside within a few hours. Avoid sun exposure/tanning, hot baths/hot tubs, heavy lotions, and exfoliation for 48 hours following your service.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I GET WAXED?
This varies depending on area of body being waxed and individual hair growth, however, on average we recommend waxing every 4 weeks for best results.
